I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biomedical Science from Northern Arizona University. As a student, I have had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant in the general chemistry lab. I teach the basic concepts and skills needed to be successful in a chemistry laboratory. In addition to this, I am also one of the inorganic synthesis laboratory research assistants. My teaching style tends to utilize the application of real-world scenarios in order to reinforce scientific principles. I do not believe it is my job to tell a student how to answer a question. Rather, I teach them the individual steps required to reach the conclusion on their own. I primarily tutor subjects in the fields of math and science, including biology, chemistry, biochemistry, science, algebra 1 and 2, math, precalculus, and trigonometry. I am also comfortable assisting students with these types of courses in honors and IB classes. During my free time, I enjoy hiking, archery, reading, learning more about chemistry and biology, and cooking.
